The layers of colour and dark to light areas works nicely. The level of finish shows that you put some real effort into this. The composition looks a little like the set for a theatre - I don't know if this was deliberate?
Yeah! in part, my art teacher suggested me to arrange the branches a little in a way that could "frame" the scene. I suppose that's why it looks like the set for a theater
Anyway, thanks for your comment and the compliments
THis is late, but I think this pic looks great. I took art as an extra-curricular subject too and I had a lot of diificulty working with watercolours. I really like how blue is the main colour in this pic, but you managed to mix in other colours as well effectively. If I had to criticise, I think the big tree in the background looks a little weird, maybe because it's a large amount of blue there or something I think you managed to capture the 'fog' feeling in this pic well.
No, now THIS REPLY IS LATE. I'm glad you liked it. This artwork was really fun to do. I used a complementary colors for this, red and yellow for the bright colors in the background and blue for the trees' silhouette. The problem with that tree was caused because I had to add several washes for get the right color's saturation. But that reason it looks a kinda messed. With that I realized that it was time to change my watercolor's brand (Pentel in that time) for something better (Actually Coltman and Van Gogh)
